Canberra Markets at the Weekend
There are a number of different markets which take place at the weekends. Some only take place once a month, while others are every Saturday (Gorman House) and Sunday (Kingston). Lots of stalls sell typical market stuff, homemade good and secondhand items. You can also expect food, street entertainment and lots of interest. The Gorman House Market (Ainslie Avenue) is my favorite and I've been there a few times now.

Lots to do in Canberra
You could probably stay in Canberra for an entire month and still leave w ithout seeing everything. But there are definitely a lot of 'best bits' here, like the museums and the vineyards. Make sure that you do not miss out on Lake Burley Griffin and Blundell's Cottage, the magical Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, and the Deep Space Communication Complex. Of course, then there is the zoo, science centre, botanical gardens, wine tours, need I go on...

Spooky Ghost Tours - prepare for a fright, or maybe not!
These tours are really aimed tourists and although it is a bit 'cheesey' at times, it was quite good and a lot of fun. We enjoyed learning about all of the haunted corners and hot spots around Canberra, and it was really quite informative. It leaves from the Civic on Bunda Street and lasts just under two hours. You will probably need to book ahead or take pot luck as seats in the 'hearse' are limited.
